Sunsets and sunrises; they are hands down my favorite light to shoot in! When I've had the opportunity to do a session in this gorgeous light I can't help but race back to my computer to see the images and get to work editing them. That magic light that is available for such a small window of time can create some of the most beautiful images of my subjects. May it be High School Grads, Families, Horses, or Rustic Barns sitting and waiting for the beauty of the natural light around it or them.
Sunset sessions are one that few people take the advantage of using. The golden light is only available for such a short amount of time but the magic it holds in that short hour is breath taking. The fall colors in particular add such grandeur to sunset images that it leaves your eye searching for all the vibrance just one image can hold.
In the fall, sunset sessions start around 6:00pm and in the winter it gets easier as we can start as early as 3:00pm and still get that beautiful golden light. I realize this may not be practical for everyone and all the busy schedules that life throws at us, but if it's doable it will certainly be one to remember.
But I would advise, if you're in a position to do so, that opting for an evening shoot would be totally worth the extra effort.
